Does Pion work with Ajax?
Your rating: None Average: 3.5 (2 votes)

Yes. Ajax is basically Javascript code within pages that sends HTTP requests to your servers. Pion automatically captures these requests alongside the rest of your traffic and correlates it with the rest of your visitor traffic. It's easy to configure Pion to treat these Ajax requests as separate impressions/interactions and deliver data about them to your analytics providers, databases, etc.

If the Ajax requests result in visual changes to the display of the page, these changes are not currently rendered within Pion Replay's "View Page" interface. However, you can use Pion Replay to track all of your Ajax requests and to display the full requests and responses (including any XML sent by and returned to the client) for each Ajax request. In most cases, we've found that even for very visually intense Ajax websites this provides all the information necessary to understand the visitor's experience.
