Does Pion work with Flash?
Your rating: None Average: 3 (1 vote)

Pion sees when visitors download flash applications from your website, and can track user interactions within flash applications if they generate requests back to your servers (such as AJAX calls). To track other interactions, you need to instrument your flash applications to generate a request to your servers for a one-pixel image that includes query parameters to differentiate it from other interactions (i.e. "/1x1.gif?type=my_application&action=submit"). Pion sees these requests and can easily be configured to treat them as separate page impressions.

Pion Replay is able to display simple flash applications (like animations) when visualizing a page, although you may need to uncheck "Remove SCRIPT tags" within the Options dialog of Pion Replay's session search interface for this to work properly. Pion Replay cannot visually display visitor interactions within a flash application, however when instrumented as described above it can list each of the interactions that each visitor performed.
