I'm happy to announce the release of the Pion Network Library ("pion-net") version 0.3.4.

This is the first release following the renaming of the library from "libpion," and splitting parts of it out into a new "Pion Common Library." We also changed the name of one of our core classes and concepts: "HTTPModule" is now "WebService," and we've replaced the "modules" term with "services" in quite a few places.

Since the 0.3.2 release, we've added support to HTTPResponse for sending chunked-encoded responses, and added two new FileService options: "max_chunk_size" and "max_cache_size." We've also updated the PionLogger code so that it supports the latest Apache log4cxx subversion code: 0.10.x.

Since the 0.2.4 release, we've added support for building pion-net with Microsoft Visual Studio (see the README.msvc documentation file) on Windows. We've also added support for HTTP pipelining, and for statically linking web services objects into applications.

Although 0.2.4 is still our "stable" release, we plan to kick off a new stable 0.4 branch within the next few weeks.

Take care,
-Mike
